Toronto, September 4, 2024 – The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) is pleased to announce that Travelers Canada extended its support of the Broker Identity Program (BIP) at the Full Partner level.

Travelers Canada’s sponsorship will support IBAC’s Broker Identity Program (BIP), a national advertising campaign that raises awareness of the significant value that insurance brokers provide for their clients – choice, advice and advocacy.

In addition, Travelers Canada’s investment will contribute to important IBAC initiatives including IBAC’s technology leadership, professional development of the broker workforce, and our strong and effective federal advocacy to maintain the separation of banking and insurance, which protects consumers and promotes a fair and competitive marketplace.

“Brokers serve a critical role in our industry, not only as an invaluable part of our business, but also in providing counsel to our customers,” said Heather Masterson, President & CEO of Travelers Canada. “We are committed to raising awareness of the important service brokers bring to the table, and we’re proud to continue supporting the Broker Identity Program at Full Partner level.”

“Travelers’ prominence in the Canadian insurance marketplace reflects their commitment to customer service excellence,” said IBAC CEO Peter Braid. “This renewed investment demonstrates their strong support for the broker channel as the best way to provide security and peace of mind for insurance consumers. We greatly appreciate their continued support. ”
