Toronto, ON, September 29, 2022 – The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) is pleased to announce its Executive Officers and Board of Directors for 2022-2023.

Appointments were confirmed at the Annual General Meeting held in St-Andrews-By-The-Sea, New Brunswick on September 22, 2022.

The following individuals were appointed to the Executive Committee:

  • Robyn Young – Chair (Alberta)
  • Linda Dolan – President (British Columbia)
  • Traci Boland – President Elect (Ontario)
  • Mathieu Brunet – Vice President (Québec)
  • Brett McGregor – Vice President (Manitoba)

In addition, the following individuals were appointed to IBAC’s Board of Directors for 2022-2023:

  • Andrew Janzen – Insurance Brokers Association of British Columbia (IBABC)
  • Jody Lohr – Insurance Brokers Association of Alberta (IBAA)
  • Jaycee Turtle – Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS)
  • Susan Gilbert – Insurance Brokers Association of Manitoba (IBAM)
  • Joseph Carnevale – Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO)
  • Deborah Laferriere – Toronto Insurance Council (TIC)
  • Lucie Fréchette – Regroupement des cabinets de courtage d’assurance du Québec (RCCAQ)
  • Brandon McGee – Insurance Brokers Association of New Brunswick (IBANB)
  • Aneill MacCaull – Insurance Brokers Association of Nova Scotia (IBANS)
  • David Cooke – Insurance Brokers Association of Prince Edward Island (IBAPEI)
  • Jeremy Cheater – Insurance Brokers Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (IBAN)

“IBAC’s Executive and Board of Directors are dedicated individuals from across the country who bring their knowledge, experience and insights to the national table,” said IBAC CEO, Peter Braid. “As we emerge from the challenges of the past 2 years, our new Board will build on the work of previous Boards and provide strong leadership and direction moving forward. With a continued focus on supporting brokers and advocating for insurance consumers, together we will ensure that IBAC remains an effective voice for our members.”

Representing insurance brokers across Canada, the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) is the national voice of P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance brokers and an advocate for insurance consumers. IBAC represents the interests of both insurance brokers and consumers to the Government of Canada.
