SGI CANADA Renews IBAC funding for 2026
October 19, 2026
Toronto, October 19, 2026 – The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) is pleased to
announce that SGI CANADA has maintained its support of the Broker Identity Program (BIP) at
the Magenta Level.
The funding from SGI CANADA will support IBAC’s Broker Identity Program (BIP), a national
advertising campaign that raises awareness of the significant value that insurance brokers provide
for their clients – choice, advice and advocacy.
In addition, their investment will contribute to important IBAC initiatives including IBAC’s
technology leadership, professional development of the broker workforce, and our strong and
effective federal advocacy to maintain the separation of banking and insurance, which protects
consumers and promotes a fair and competitive marketplace.
“Brokers are integral in providing a personalized experience to customers. They continuously rise
to the challenge as experts and advocates, through a rapidly evolving insurance industry,” said
Andrew Voroney, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, for SGI CANADA. “Our
continuing partnership with IBAC is a commitment to supporting our broker partners.”
“We greatly appreciate SGI CANADA’s long-standing partnership and their unwavering support
for insurance brokers,” said Peter Braid, IBAC CEO. “This renewed investment underscores the
significant value that brokers contribute to the customer experience and highlights our shared
priority of putting customers first.”
