Toronto, August 16, 2023 – The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) is pleased to announce that Sandbox Mutual Insurance has maintained its support of the Broker Identity Program (BIP) at the Full Partner level.

The sponsorship from Sandbox will support IBAC’s Broker Identity Program (BIP), a national advertising campaign that raises awareness of the significant value that insurance brokers provide for their clients – choice, advice and advocacy.

In addition, their investment will contribute to important IBAC initiatives including IBAC’s technology leadership, professional development of the broker workforce, and our strong and effective federal advocacy to maintain the separation of banking and insurance, which protects consumers and promotes a fair and competitive marketplace.

“We are excited to, once again, be a Full Partner with the Broker Identity Program in 2023,” says Shelley Willick, Sandbox President and CEO. “At Sandbox, we understand that brokers do more than simply sell insurance to policyholders. They offer comprehensive support throughout the entire insurance journey by sharing their professional knowledge and providing valuable advice to clients. We value and celebrate the contributions brokers make to the industry, as well as the support they provide to policyholders.”

IBAC greatly appreciates Sandbox’s renewed investment and their strong commitment to the broker channel,” said IBAC CEO Peter Braid. “This investment clearly demonstrates Sandbox’s priority of putting customers first, and their recognition of the important role of insurance brokers in providing essential customer service and support.”
