Toronto, March 29, 2023 – The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) is pleased to announce that Gore Mutual Insurance Company has maintained its support of the Broker Identity Program (BIP) at the Full Partner level.

The sponsorship from Gore Mutual will support IBAC’s Broker Identity Program (BIP), a national advertising campaign that raises awareness of the significant value that insurance brokers provide for their clients – choice, advice and advocacy.

In addition, their investment will contribute to important IBAC initiatives including IBAC’s technology leadership, professional development of the broker workforce, and our strong and effective federal advocacy to maintain the separation of banking and insurance, which protects consumers and promotes a fair and competitive marketplace.

“We’re proud to support the IBAC’s Broker Identity Program for another year,” said Andy Taylor, President and CEO, Gore Mutual. “Brokers have been instrumental in our strategic journey at Gore Mutual and we will continue to invest heavily in that channel as the expertise and insight provided remains incredibly important to consumers.”

“We greatly value our long-standing partnership with Gore and thank them for their ongoing support,” said IBAC CEO Peter Braid. “Gore’s renewed investment underscores their commitment to the broker channel as the preferred way to purchase insurance, and highlights their priority of putting consumers first.”
