Toronto, June 6, 2022 – The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) is pleased to announce that Gore Mutual Insurance Company has maintained its support of the Broker Identity Program (BIP) at the Full Partner level.

The sponsorship from Gore Mutual will support IBAC’s Broker Identity Program (BIP), a national advertising campaign that raises awareness of the significant value that insurance brokers provide for their clients – choice, advice and advocacy.

In addition, their investment will contribute to important IBAC initiatives including IBAC’s technology leadership, professional development of the broker workforce, and our strong and effective federal advocacy to maintain the separation of banking and insurance, which protects consumers and promotes a fair and competitive marketplace.

“Given the challenging environment in recent years, the expertise and value provided by brokers is incredibly important to Canadians. At Gore Mutual, we’re invested more than ever in the broker distribution model and the advice-based channel,” said Andy Taylor, president and CEO of Gore Mutual. “We’re proud to support IBAC and the important work it does through the Broker Identity Program. Our continued success and growth is from true partnership with IBAC and its members.”

“We greatly appreciate Gore’s long-standing partnership with IBAC and their unwavering support for insurance brokers,” said Peter Braid, IBAC CEO. “This renewed investment is a strong vote of confidence and a testament to the significant value that brokers contribute to the customer experience.”
